• 1 in 5 aging out of foster care becomes homeless within the first year
• 70% of all prisoners report being in foster care or homeless shelters as a youth
• 1 in 3 youth in foster care have changed schools 5 or more times
• Each move to a new school cuts a youth’s chance of graduating in half
• 86% of Georgia’s youth in foster care age out before achieving a high school diploma or GED
• Less than 2% of all youth in foster care go on to college
