My Orange Duffel Bag: A Journey to Radical Change is the winner of the prestigious American Society of Journalists & Authors 2011 Outstanding Book of the Year in the Young Adult/Children’s category. The principles – Sam Bracken’s 7 Rules for the Road — in the award-winning book are the basis for training and coaching at-risk youth conducted by the Orange Duffel Bag Foundation, which Bracken and his co-author/ODBF President Echo Garrett co-founded. Additionally, My Orange Duffel Bag, which was designed by The FaQtory and showcases 60 of photographer Kevin Garrett’s images, was featured in HOW Magazine (March 2011) as a Merit award winner in the Editorial category of the international design competition.
